You are never far from the surf if you are on the coast of New South Wales.

There are many good surf beaches with surf schools around Sydney, including Manly, Bondi, Dee Why, Narrabeen and Avalon.

Further north up the coast the beaches around Newcastle and Byron Bay offer good surf.

South of Sydney Wollongong and Jervis Bay are popular.
