Learn to Surf in South Australia

Large waves are found on the Yorke Peninsula at Pondalowie Bay. Southport and Seaford have small, reliable waves.

The Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide, has some excellent swimming and surfing beaches.

Cactus Beach, Penong is famous in surfing circles.

If you are based in Adelaide, try Waitpinga Beach or Port Elliot (Boomer Beach or Middleton Beach - The Southern Surf Shop will point you right).

From June to October southern right whales can be viewed migrating through these waters (more).
